Ko wai mātau - About us

We are a small whanau owned business. We are pursuing the clothing industry as a way to nurture and develop our whanau - our children and youths love and passion for their home, Te Reo Māori, art and fashion.

Waimaria Collections is a platform for our whanau to develop and portray their interpretation of history, knowledge and kaupapa Māori in a contemporary form through clothing.

As a whanau, we aim to:

• contribute towards the revitalisation of Te Reo Māori
• educate through designs and kōrero
• empower Māori and non-Māori who chose to wear our clothing and share in our aspirations

We operate from our home, our whenua taurikura, a small place called Ruatāhuna in the heart of Te Urewera.
